My style is situated at the intersection of traditional Bahamian folk art and abstract painting, as such my work is an ongoing inventory of my cultural surroundings. The pieces are reflective as a commentary of the Bahamian experience, our place in the world and how history shapes out current-day lives.
The audience is invited to a safe space to engage with heavy subject matter often belied by bright colours and vibrancy, the vivacity making the subject matter more palatable without detracting from its seriousness.
